A short film about my practice and how it draws on hearling will be exhibited as part of BotanicÁrte Exhibition NYC, which celebrates artists as healers, exploring the belief that their creations are unique contributions to healing, activism, and expression. These artists tap into their innate perception to infuse their work with healing energy, addressing mental and physical well-being, resilience, and spiritual vitality. Inspired by the interdisciplinary Afro Caribbean botánica, the exhibition aims to showcase the diverse ways in which healing and art intersect. BotanicÁrte invites viewers to recognize the crucial role artists play in fostering healing in our everyday lives, communities, and society.
