Breathe Easy

A new short work for the Immersive Sound Showcase for Screen South exhibited in the Brewery Tap Folkestone and UCA Galleries March 14th – 27th. Breathe Easy reflects on the air in  Folkestone, a meditation against over over-development. This work is about the spaces we go to breathe freely. Liu Batchelor takes us to her breathing space in Folkestone, the Warren.

I experimented with field recording, voice, and multiple breathing in suround sound bringing the inside and outside together and making air part of the picture. The sea is juxtaposed with dancers from CCCU fire breathing, rhythm brings them together like ebb and flow.
