Work in Progress Update

I have almost completed seven of eight trace stations. Sound Train in February was a live broadcast a soundscape radio interaction, Ben Rowley’s short film of my the first trace station and installation Radio Mind at the Lookout Gallery last year was exhibited as part of the Work in Practice PhD show in March at LCC University of the Arts London. Radio Mind won the Sound Commission for the Lightworks Annual International Arts Festival, Grimsby, Yorkshire where it was also exhibited.
Lone Broadcast  was first exhibited in a group show in April at Untitled BCN Gallery Barcelona, Spain. Whilst there I gave a talk to students at the University of Abat Oliba, CEU Barcelona. Radio Mind was also exhibited in May and June at the Deep Wireless Festival, Toronto, Canada, whilst there I talked about my radio art research in the Trans X Transmission Art Symposium. I broadcast Radio Jam as a live radio networked interaction from the V22 Gallery London for RADEQ Summer Radio in July.

Commercial Break, Lone Broadcast and Numbers were exhibited as a micro radio installation from The Old Lookout Gallery, Broadstairs, Kent in July. Babble Station work started at the Whitstable Biennale Satellite and in Sept Radio Mind was broadcast on WGXC 90.7-FM, WGXC.ORG, NYC in October for transmissionarts.org where I was honoured to be invited as part in the first ever Transmission Arts Colloquium at the Wave Farm in upstate New York with my case studies Gregory Whitehead and Anna Friz and other notable creative writers and artists. I am currently working on ideas for the last station in the series Radio Recall which I hope to complete early next year, when I will start editing the works together to make Switch Off.
