I will be talking about radio art at the launch of OUTSIDE SOUNDS on Sept 6th for Extrapool, who have created a performance and exhibition space for experimental music and sound for over 30 years. Bringing together musicians and other artists working in sound to create an audio archive that crosses genres, decades and borders.
During this evening, Danny Bright (UK) will do an in situ performance on sonic memory and Radio Music by John Cage will be performed and a new work will be launched by Wesley Goatley, that draw from recordings taken throughout Nijmegen at various times. Customized CB radios will be installed in a selection of cafes, libraries, bookstores, and radical spaces in Nijmegen, where members of the public can tune it at any time to listen to performers who have made art in the city. During the evening, Danny Bright (UK) will do an in situ performance on sonic memory and Radio Music by John Cage will be performed.
