Returning for its third year, the Sidney Cooper Gallery is warmed from its midwinter chill by striking performances and sound installations by local, national and international composers, sound artists and improvisers. This year we celebrate collaborations with Free Range, Canterbury Christ Church University and The Orpheus Institute for Artistic Research In Music, Ghent.

Heledd Francis Wright opens the evening with a whispering solo flute performance.

Canterbury’s hottest new audiovisual band perform their latest project, Ryoanji.

The evening concludes with a Free Range performance from Trance Map, the duo of internationally-renowned saxophonist Evan Parker and the turntablism/live sampling of Matt Wright. The duo performed at the very first Free Range event back in 2012.
